A blog of our travels to share the good, bad and other of the hotels and attractions we have visited. I am a single mom and a caregiver to my mother in a wheelchair so I will share about family friendliness and accessability.
Here are 2 more pictures of the scarf this is end of first skein and it's 36" so I believe it will probably be long enough with just 2 skeins. The guy getting it is about 6' 4" and I want to make sure it's long enough so if you think that's not long enough PLEASE let me know. He's gotten 2 scarfs knit from other people and they were too short.
Okay so this is not knitting related really but I am looking for a "knitting suggestion" So we watch Extreme makeover home edition and we saw this So, we (meaning me, mom, Christopher, Bubby, Dawn, Siouxann and William) are adopting a soldier. Any ideas of things I can knit to send??
This is totally unrelated to knitting but Christopher is 6 months old today and now we have our 6 month nursing ribbon. And I'm selling my first item on ebay, a purple ring sling

we have a favorite dinner in our family: pinto beans and cornbread and fried potatos. here is christopher's first taste HA
The scarf is coming along!!! I'm so proud of this project I have no idea why I'm more proud of this than the others, but I'm so excited to give it to my friend.
this is my shawl from the Knit & Crochet festival it's moving slowly. IT supposed to be hemp yarn but that's so not happening so I had this yarn and I think it works great!
Check out left side of the picture!! Yep that's me and Christopher in the the purple sling, and Charissa's head behind us. We're in yarn harlot's picture!!!
Charissa in her every so nicely organized post told about our day when we went to the book signing with the Yarn Harlot and I agree that it was wonderful. She gave me a workout on our "little" walk but that's cool! And I saw Steven in YH blog, that's exciting.
